Belt filter press dewatering is a solid/ liquid separation device, applied for the dewatering of sludge in the pulp and paper mill, chemical industry, printing and dyeing mill, mining, and sewage treatment. The process of dewatering is achieved by passing a pair of filtering cloths and belt through a system of rollers, the system takes sludge or slurry as feeding and separates it into a filtrate and a solid cake. Conventional belt filter presses have been used in Europe first for dewatering paper pulp and later modified to dewater wastewater sludge.
