Description

The AIMEQUIP shaftless screw conveyor is a continuous short-distance conveyor that is widely used in WWTPs. The shaftless screw conveyor is composed of a drive part, a case, shaftless screw blades, and return lines. The feeding material enters the screw chamber and is dewatered while being screwed. The material finally reaches a collection tank, while the extracted water flows into a water pool through the return pipes.

Shaftless Screw Conveyor Advantages

Lack of Central Shaft

The absence of a central shaft in shaftless screw conveyors eliminates the possibility of material buildup or clogging around the shaft. This design makes them suitable for conveying sticky and viscous materials that may otherwise cause blockages in traditional screw conveyors.

Greater Capacity

Shaftless screw conveyors can handle a higher volume of materials compared to traditional screw conveyors of similar size. The open design allows for a larger carrying capacity, making them effective for transporting bulky or irregularly shaped materials.

Versatility

Shaftless screw conveyors are versatile and can be used in various industries for handling a wide range of materials, including sludge, wastewater, bulk solids, and other challenging substances.

Easy Maintenance

The absence of a central shaft simplifies maintenance and reduces the likelihood of material buildup, which makes cleaning and maintenance easier. This design also reduces wear and tear on components.

Flexibility in Design

Shaftless screw conveyors offer flexibility in design and layout, allowing for customization based on the specific needs of the application. They can be configured to fit into tight spaces or follow non-linear paths.

Environmental Benefits

In applications such as wastewater treatment, shaftless screw conveyors are commonly used to transport sludge. The design reduces the risk of clogging and allows for the efficient handling of sludge, contributing to better environmental practices.
